Phone greetings for hotels

A hotel switchboard serves people who are not yet guests, people who are staying tonight and people planning a wedding next summer. Give each of them a key, and answer the most common question, check-in time, in the greeting itself.

What is different for hotels

The line never closes

Reception runs around the clock in many hotels, so there is no out-of-hours greeting. Instead, the menu has to work for a guest at 02:00 just as well as for a wedding planner at 10:00.

Events are a separate sale

Weddings and conferences are long conversations with a dedicated team that keeps office hours. Their option needs its own greeting with those hours, or enquiries go cold at the front desk.

From the studio

01

A welcoming voice

Choose warmth over brisk efficiency; the call is part of the stay.

02

Jazz or piano under the menu

Hotel lines suit a light jazz or piano track, kept well below the voice.
