We were producing phone greetings long before AI could.
A greeting for a UK business needs to sound right to its callers: clear British English, familiar wording and instructions that match the actual telephone system. phonegreetings.ai is an offer from BrennerMedien GmbH in Augsburg, Germany. Our studio experience shapes the online production process, while you choose and check the finished greeting before ordering.

From a booking calendar to a browser tab.
For most of those years, producing a phone greeting worked the way it had always worked. What it could not do was handle a small change quickly. A new opening time, a public holiday, a department that moved – each meant scheduling the same process again for thirty seconds of audio.
The technology changed. The job did not: making a business sound clear, credible and prepared from the first ring.
Two decades, one job
Studio production for business phone lines
A client sent a script. We booked a voice artist and studio time. Someone directed the recording, someone edited it, someone prepared the file for the phone system it was going to run on. It produced excellent results, and it still does.
The same production knowledge, in a browser tab
AI voices reached a quality where everyday business announcements no longer need a studio session, and the production knowledge we had built up – how timing works on a phone line, how music sits under speech, what a phone system actually accepts – could be put into software instead of applied by hand each time.
What stayed the same
That is why the generator is built around phone scenarios rather than around a text box. You choose what the caller will hear – a welcome, a menu, an after-hours message – and the production details that phone audio needs are already in place.
- Phone audio is the core business. Not one service among many. It is what the company does.
- Built in-house. The platform was developed by the same people who produce the audio.
- A real company. Registered in Augsburg, with an address, an imprint and someone who answers email.
The people behind the production
Andreas Brenner is the managing director, voice artist and contact for scripts and production advice. Tim Stein works on sound, technology and code. Their work connects the decisions made in an audio studio with the tools you use to create a greeting online.
The script is the recipe. Production brings it together.
Give the same recipe to an experienced chef and a first-time cook. Both have the instructions, but experience shapes the decisions along the way: timing, balance and knowing when something needs adjusting. A phone greeting works in a similar way. The words are the starting point; pronunciation, pauses, music and the balance of the mix shape what the caller hears.
Our studio experience informs the workflow behind this service. AI supplies the voice, while the production process is designed around business phone audio. Listen to your preview as a complete greeting: is the company name clear, is the instruction easy to follow, and does the music support the speech?
The studio history and the company today
Andreas Brenner began the telephone-announcement business in 2003. BrennerMedien GmbH was established in 2020. Our reference to 2003 describes the work and experience behind the service; it does not mean that this AI generator or this legal company existed in 2003.
What this service produces
The generator uses AI voices. You can listen to your own script before purchasing a finished version. Pay particular attention to company names, abbreviations and words in another language. A natural-sounding voice does not replace checking the result.
Before downloading, compare your phone system’s requirements with our audio format guide. A business phone system with an upload function is different from a mobile voicemail service that only lets you record a greeting by phone.
Usage rights and help
The scope of your usage rights is described in the terms and conditions. This page does not promise a separate licence certificate or rights for uses outside those terms. If you supply music or other material, make sure you hold the necessary rights.
For questions about a file or an order, contact us using the address below. We do not claim that support is available in every language offered by the voices. Please ask about your requirements before ordering if you need a particular support language or a specially managed production.
Choosing a greeting for a UK business
Start with the way your callers use the number. A receptionist's welcome, a queue message and the greeting on a sole trader's work mobile do different jobs. Give the caller one useful next step, write opening times in a consistent form and check how the voice reads your company name and telephone number. Listen for a comfortable pace rather than trying to fit every detail into the first sentence.
For a work mobile, check the network's current instructions before buying an audio file: an option to record a personal greeting does not necessarily include a file upload. For a hosted telephone system, check the administrator's upload requirements. Our format guide explains what to look for. If you want a recording by a human voice artist, studio production remains available on request; ask us to confirm a suitable speaker and quote.
Five questions to ask before you order
