phonegreetings.ai is built by BrennerMedien, a German audio company that has specialised in professional telephone announcements since 2003. Not voice-over in general, not media production in general – phone audio specifically: the greeting a caller hears when nobody picks up, the menu that routes them, the message that plays while they wait.
From a booking calendar to a browser tab
For most of those years, producing a phone greeting worked the way it had always worked. A client sent a script. We booked a voice artist and studio time. Someone directed the recording, someone edited it, someone prepared the file for the phone system it was going to run on. It produced excellent results, and it still does.
What it could not do was handle a small change quickly. A new opening time, a public holiday, a department that moved – each meant scheduling the same process again for thirty seconds of audio.
phonegreetings.ai exists because that gap became solvable. AI voices reached a quality where everyday business announcements no longer need a studio session, and the production knowledge we had built up – how timing works on a phone line, how music sits under speech, what a phone system actually accepts – could be put into software instead of applied by hand each time.
What stayed the same
The technology changed. The job did not: making a business sound clear, credible and prepared from the first ring.
That is why the generator is built around phone scenarios rather than around a text box. You choose what the caller will hear – a welcome, a menu, an after-hours message – and the production details that phone audio needs are already in place.
